Here we offer a 14ct GOLD FOBWATCH, which has a 1/2 Plate Swiss Bar Movement by the highly regarded Watchmaking Firm of Gedeon Thommen of La Chaux-de-Fonds and dates to 1885 circa.
It has an 8 Jewel Cylinder Movement, with a Gold balance wheel, which is running very well and keeping good time. It is Stem Wound and Pin Set.
It is housed in a 14ct GOLD Case, which has both an 18K Stamp and the Swiss Squirrel Hallmark for 14ct Gold. The decoration on the rim and bezel is superb, runs onto the back and has an unsigned shield. It is 35mm in diameter (49mm incl. the ring) and bears Serial Number 22290 – (25.4mm =1 inch). It is stamped G.T. in an oval, which is the Trade Mark of Gedeon Thommen (Later Revue -Thommen : see Pritchard) and has a total weight of 35 grams
The Gold Metal Dial is in very Good Condition (these tend to be made from solid silver and then coated) and exhibits very few marks. It has Black Roman Numerals and Blued Steel Spade Hands. The Floral decoration in the centre is very attractive and it has a Glass Crystal. It has a copper cuvette and is being sold as described and in the condition as shown in the pics – (Ref : L636.5)
