General Description
Here we offer an Irish Fusee CYLINDER Pocket Watch, which is signed Delahoyde, Dublin and dates to around 1800. It is presented in a SILVER Consular Case, which has London Assay Marks and a year date for 1862c. It is in very good running order and is keeping time to within 5 – 6 mins per day.
It is housed in a large 54 mm Silver Consular Case .This looks like a late casing, as sn 892 is the same as the movement and the London Assay Marks are dated 1862c. The Makers Mark J.W refers to James Walker of Coventry – see P. Priestley).
The 48mm White Enamel Dial has large Roman Numerals and is in superb condition, with no apparent hairlines. It has Gold Hour, Minute and Seconds hands.
The cuvette is in excellent condition and is signed Delahoyde Dublin – Ref : ACC238
