General Description:
Here we offer a Felca WWII Military Wristwatch, which has a Waterproof case. The high quality movement is the Schild Calibre 984.
The 17 Jewel Movement is a 101/2 lignes, Cal 984 by Schild (see bidfun) and is in very good condition. It dates to the early 1940s and is running very well and keeping time to within 2 minutes per day. It is stamped with a 10 near the balance and is signed as shown in the pics.
The 24mm Dial is stamped Felca, Shockproof, Antimagnetic, Swiss and is in very good condition. It has California style numerals and the reflective radium coating on these and on the hands has faded somewhat. The acrylic crystal shows a lot of crazing and a new glass one will be fitted before shipping.
The Stainless Steel Case measures 32mm in diameter (including crown) and 37mm to the solid lugs. It is in very good condition, with some scrapes shown only on the back, which also exhibits a few pin size dings. It is signed as shown in the pics and bears sn 226. The back screws on tightly and It is fitted with an 16mm black leather strap, which measures 230mm overall. – Ref. ACC416

Felca Watch Co. of Grenchen in Switzerland was owned and operated by the family Titoni. It was founded by Fritz Schluep as FELCA Watch Co. in 1919. In 1943 it was renamed FELCA and in 1981, TITONI. They provided an exclusive order of 30,000 watches to the US Army during WWII. This order is shown in the following link to the Titoni Watch Co, where the history of the company is outlined.
