This is a Hamilton Railroad Pocket Watch with a 16sz, 23J, Cal 950P Movement. It is housed in “Elgin Giant” 10k Gold Filled Case with Swing Out Movement. It is in very good cosmetic condition and working order and keeping almost perfect time over 24hours. It has a 33 Hr Mainspring.
The 43mm Enamel Double-Sunk Dial has Arabic Numerals, Red Minute Markers and is signed Hamilton. It is in impeccable condition, has a set of blue steel hands, a subs dial at 6 and an Acrylic Crystal.
The Movement has Nickle Plates with narrow stripe Damascene and bears s/n 1575622, which dates to 1916c manufacture. It is a Bridge model signed Hamilton Lancaster, PA, Adjusted 5 Positions, 23 Jewels, Cal 950, Motor Barrel and has Decorated Winding Wheels. It has a Breguet hairspring, a precision regulator; is Stem Wound and Set and the plates are in beautiful condition.
The 54mm Diameter (66mm. incl ring : 25.4mm = 1 inch) Gold Filled Case is signed Elgin Giant Watch Case Co, 10K Gold Filled, Double Stock, as shown in the pics. It is in very good condition, without obvious defects, apart from normal usage wear. It bears sn 5650887 and the movement swings out.
