General Description:
This is a Silver Consular Case of 55mm Diameter, with a Table Roller Fusee Lever Movement by Sharp of Dublin, which dates to 1826c. It is in very good cosmetic condition and running order.
The Case is in excellent condition, with no obvious dings. The engine turning on the back cover is worn. It measures 55mm in diameter, 75mm (incl the pendant ring) and is 18mm deep. It is signed with the Lion Passant Silver Standard Mark, a London Assay Mark and year date for 1826c on all covers. It bears the Maker’s Mark J.G on all covers (Relates to John Griffiths,22 West Place, John’s Row, City Road, London- see Priestley).
The 48mm White Enamel Dial has Roman Numerals and is in good condition, with some hairlines, as shown. It has a Flush Subs Dial at 6.00, a Glass Crystal and Blue Spade Hands.
The 13J Gilt, Full Plate Movement is in very good condition as shown in the pics. It is an early table roller lever, with a ruby impulse pin. Two of the Jewels are Screwed into Chatons and it has a Diamond end-stone. It is signed Sharp – Dublin; Patent on the cock and is key wound on the back and key set on the dial.
This is a desirable watch by a Collectible Irish Maker and is being sold as described and in the condition as shown in the pics. It is priced at €425 or nearest Offer

Christopher Sharp, Dublin was a Watch, Clock & Chronometer Manufacturer. In 1820he was working at 57 Exchequer St.and at 60 Exchequer St. from 1824 to 1841. He was a Marine & Pocket Chronometer Manufacturer and was elected Member of the Royal Irish Academy in Oct. 1831.
