Here we offer an English Verge Fusee Pocket Watch, which has an Enamel Dial and comes in a Gilt inner case and Outer horn case. The Movement is signed Jn Colyer, London; It is running very well and is accurate to within 30 mins per day. It is Key Wound on the Back and and Key Set on the Dial and dates to around 1770.
The Verge Fusee Movement has Egyptian Pillars and is in very good cosmetic condition. It is signed as shown in the pics; bears sn 201 and has a very nice cock with an figure of a mermaid – most unusual and rare.
It is housed in Pair Cases; the inner is stamped with the Makers mark * T P; is 40mm in Diameter and in beautiful condition. The Outer measures 49mm in diameter and is in good condition. It is Gilt on the inside and the outer is finished in Horn and pinned. There are some cracks in the back as shown and it is 22mm deep – (25.4mm =1 inch).
The 38mm White Enamel Dial has Roman Hour Numerals and Arabic Minutes in the outer chapter ring. It has a raised Glass Crystal with Bulls Eye lens and Louis Style hands.
It is being sold as described and in the condition as shown in the pics and comes to you directly from a large Irish Watch Collection, which was assembled over the past 40-50 years – (Ref :ACC205)
