This is a very Fine & Rare 18ct. Yellow Gold, VACHERON & CONSTANTIN Art-Deco Pocket Watch, which dates to 1935c. It has 18 Jewels; is adjusted to 5 Positions & Temperature and is running very well and keeping good time. It is presented in its Original Display Case, which is in very good condition, but note that the R.H door does not fully close and is lacking the hook to hang the watch.
The Dial is 44mm in Diameter and the Movement bears sn 415722 ( Produced in1935c). It has a bimetallic balance with timing screws; a Breguet hairspring and wolfs-tooth winding wheels. It is profusely signed as shown in the pics.
The Case is 48mm in Diameter and is signed Vacheron & Constantin Suisse . It is stamped 18.750 and has the Swiss Helvetia Assay Mark for 18k. The sn number is 266618 and the Maker’s Number is 143
(Classicor SA : La-Chaux-de-Fonds). It is in superb condition and has a 4 Section Rim, much admired by collectors. The Bezel and Back both snap very tightly shut.
The Salmon Coloured Dial, which has a Darker Contrasting Colour in the Chapter ring is 44mm in Diameter. It is signed Vacheron & Constantin, Geneve – Swiss and is in excellent condition, with just very minor imperfections and has a Glass Crystal – Ref: L775
This is a very rare and highly collectible V&C, which would add grace to any collection.
The watch is being sold in accordance with the description and as presented in the pics and has not been on the market in more than 20 years.
