Here we offer a WALTHAM Pocket Watch, with a 3/4 Plate, 3/0 size Movement (27mm in diameter), which comes in an Exquisite Rolled Gold Hunter Case. It was produced during WW1 in 1915c.
It has a 7 Jewel Model 1907 Lever Movement which is running very well and keeping good time. It is Stem Wound and Set at the 3.00 o’clock position. It bears serial number 19678213, which dates to 1915c.
It is housed in a Warranted 20 year Star Watch Case Co. Hunter Case, which is Stamped as shown in the pictures. It is 32mm in diameter (45mm incl. the ring) and bears Serial Number 2522051 – (25.4mm =1 inch). The cuvette also bears similar markings and in addition shows it is for a 3/0 size movement. All covers close tightly and the front cover opens fully, when the pendant is pressed.
The 27mm White Enamel Dial is signed WALTHAM and is in Superb Condition, with no apparent defects. It has Black Roman numerals and attractive Red Arabic Minute Numerals in the outer chapter ring, together with slim Blued Steel Spade hands and a Glass Crystal.
