General Description:
Here we offer a Zenith Alarm Pocket Watch, which is in excellent working order and keeping good time. It is similar to the one that Mahatma Gandhi used during his lifetime and which sold at auction in 2009, as part of a lot of his former belongings, also comprising his famous round spectacles, a bowl and dish as well as a pair of leather sandals for $1.8m.
It has a ZENITH 15 Jewel Lever Movement, with Gilt plates, which is 36mm in Diameter at the opening, is Stem Wound at 12.00 & Pin Set at 11.00. It is in excellent working condition and keeping good time. It is signed Zenith, Swiss Made (Serial Number will be stamped under the dial). The alarm strikes the surround gong and is pin set at 13.00 (set to required time and back wind stem to activate)
It is housed in a 48mm Gunmetal Case, which bears Sn 108244. It has a snap-on Bezel; a hinged back and a Glass Crystal. There are some patches of colour loss, as shown in the pics, but overall is in very good condition. (25.4mm =1 inch)
The 40mm diameter, White Enamel Dial is in impeccable Condition and bears no apparent hairlines. It is Signed Swiss Made & Alarm in red at 13.00. It is priced at €395 or nearest offer.
This is a nice complication, which would make a superb addition to your Watch Collection and is being sold as described and in the condition as shown in the pics.
Our ref is ACC 316 and this watch comes to you directly from a large Irish Watch Collection, which was assembled over the past 40-50 years.
